NbSe2 Crystals Growth by Bromine Transport

Recently, low-dimensional structures in the form of bulk crystals and nanoflakes have received considerable interest due to their 2D unique functionality promising applications electronics, photonics, sensing devices photovoltaic solar cells. As a result, remarkable efforts modifications been made for synthesis process crystalline material by vapor transport technique. Here, an alternative concept NbSe2 crystal growth chemical (CVT) technique using bromine as agent is presented subsequently analyzed X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) spectroscopy. powder analysis revealed hexagonal 2H-NbSe2 4H-NbSe2 phases, characteristic XPS spectra typical were obtained. The environmental sensitivity grown manifested luminescence attributed oxidized Nb at samples’ surface.
